Transfer out of the bustle Saigon city to go to Bao Loc, home land of tea plantations; lunch at local restaurant. Keep transferring to Prenn waterfall for short rest and sight seeing. Arrive Dalat city, check in hotel and time for cycling around undulating city past by Xuan Huong lake, Dalat flower garden, Dalat market, Langbiang mountain. Back to hotel lately in a cool climate. Overnight in Dalat.

Day 1: Sai Gon to Cai Be, Vinh Long and to Can Tho (L)
 
8.00 am Depature for Cai Be (2.5 hrs), on arrival, we board on boat for visit the floating market and cruise over the mighty mekong river (~ 1.5km wide) to Dong Phu island. We start cycling one hour under the green canopy, explore the orchards and daily life of farmers.


Lunch break on island and more cruise to Vinh Long. In the afternoon we have two hours riding on immense rice fields, cycling through numerous rural riverside villages before our bus pick up to Can Tho city. We will stay in Can Tho.

Transfer out of Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho by bus, crossing the Mekong river by the biggest suspension bridge over the Mekong river. Other side is Ben Tre – the gateway of the Mekong delta. Today’s ride will lead you right into the heart of the rural Mekong. The cycling begins after the bridge journey across the Tien River at My Tho.



The route takes you through narrow paths under shade of fruit trees, a section of biking cuts off road onto gravel and dirt lanes, and stroll around hamlets, across water channels, and through quiet dense vegetation.
