Tour code: BT03 Transfer out of Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho by bus, crossing the Mekong river by the biggest suspension bridge over the Mekong river. Other side is Ben Tre – the gateway of the Mekong delta. Today’s ride will lead you right into the heart of the rural Mekong. The cycling begins after the bridge journey across the Tien River at My Tho.
The route takes you through narrow paths under shade of fruit trees, a section of biking cuts off road onto gravel and dirt lanes, and stroll around hamlets, across water channels, and through quiet dense vegetation. The park covers 71,920 Hectares of lowland forest and swamp in southern Viet Nam and is home to numerous birds and mammals. It is approximately 160 km (100 miles) north east of Ho Chi Minh City, from which it is accessible in approximately 3 hours. One of Vietnam's most important and largest National Parks, it is mostly situated at the northern edge of Ðông Nam Bô (South-eastern) region, but includes southern edge of Tây Nguyên (the Western Highlands).
